Geospatial Research Support: Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry & Spatial Analysis

For researchers, lecturers, graduate students, research institutes, and project teams who need expert hands on the geospatial part: we process the data, run the analysis, and prepare maps and tables ready to use β€” with a documented, repeatable method. Pricing is negotiable; what matters is that your research gets finished, meets your expectations, and delivers its full value.

The Geospatial Part of Your Research, Done for You

Research that relies on spatial data is often held up not by the research question but by the data processing: imagery that needs correcting, thousands of grid cells to be summed per region, drone photos that need to become an orthophoto, or a script that never quite runs. We take that part over β€” you keep the research question, the interpretation, and the writing; we make sure the data is right and defensible.

The Support We Provide

Remote sensing. Satellite image correction and mosaicking, land-cover classification, vegetation and water indices (NDVI, NDWI, and similar), multi-year change detection, and classification accuracy assessment β€” see also our remote sensing service.

Photogrammetry. Processing drone imagery you already have, or imagery from surveys with our partners, into orthophotos, DSM/DTM, contours, point clouds, and even 3D building models β€” as shown in our Digital Twin Studio (LoD2) case study.

Spatial analysis & regional statistics. Zonal statistics, aggregating grid data to administrative boundaries, overlay and multi-criteria weighting, proximity and network analysis, and preparing spatial variables for regression or panel models β€” see geospatial analysis.

Climate, environmental & emission grids. Reading and processing NetCDF/GeoTIFF from global databases (climate, emissions, rainfall, population), clipping them to the study area, and turning them into per-region, per-year tables.

Publication-ready maps and charts. Thematic maps, study-area maps, and charts with clean layouts for reports, journal articles, or presentations.

How We Work

  • Method agreed up front. Before starting, we propose the processing steps, data sources, and their limitations, and agree on them with you.
  • Repeatable. Processing is written as scripts (usually Python) and handed over with the results, so the numbers can be recomputed and checked by others.
  • Documented quality control. Every result is cross-checked β€” for example, regional totals are reconciled against the national total β€” and anomalies are discussed, not hidden.
  • Your data stays protected. Research data is never used for anything else and can be covered by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Example: Per-Capita COβ‚‚ Emissions for 34 Provinces

For a researcher's study, we turned a 0.1Β° global emission grid into a per-capita emission table for 34 provinces from 2015 to 2024, broken down into 8 sectors, with careful handling of boundary and coastal cells, nine quality-control checks, and Excel, CSV, Stata, and GeoPackage outputs. The details are in the COβ‚‚ Emissions Research Support case study.

Negotiable Pricing

Every study differs in scope, data, and budget, so we do not put one price on everything: tell us your needs and your budget, and we will shape the most sensible scope of work together. For us, what matters is that your research gets finished, meets your expectations, and delivers its full value.

Getting Started

Send a short brief via WhatsApp or the form: your topic and research question, study area and period, the data you already have, the outputs you need, and your deadline. We reply with a proposed method, a data checklist, and a time estimate β€” the first consultation is free.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of data can you process?

Satellite imagery (Landsat, Sentinel, and high-resolution imagery), drone aerial photos, LiDAR/photogrammetric point clouds, vector data (SHP, GeoJSON, GPKG, KML), rasters (GeoTIFF), NetCDF grids from global climate and emission databases, and regional statistics tables. If the data does not exist yet, we help source it from legitimate open sources.

Do you hand over the scripts and processed data?

Yes. Processing scripts, output data, and method notes are delivered with the final results, so your numbers can be recomputed and checked by supervisors, examiners, or journal reviewers.

Who writes the interpretation and the research report?

You do. We handle the technical geospatial part β€” data processing, analysis, maps, tables, and the technical method description. The research question, interpretation, and writing remain the researcher's own.

What about the confidentiality of research data?

Research data is used only for your work and is never published by us. If needed, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before any data is shared.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is negotiable. Tell us your scope and budget β€” we shape the most sensible scope of work, because what matters is that your research gets finished, meets your expectations, and delivers its full value.

Can the work be done remotely?

Yes β€” most of our research work is done remotely: discussions over WhatsApp or online meetings, data shared via links, and regular progress updates until completion.
